Sony Computer Entertainment - new PSP deals + the PS3 ‘12′

February 1st, 2007 · No Comments

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) is moving to counter the poor performance of the PSP by announcing several deals with software companies and ISPs, with Yahoo! being mooted as a possibility.

It is also gearing up for the push behind the PS3 by appointing 12 individuals and organisations to help them communicate the PS3’s appeal.

This hallowed group is made up of club promoters, artists, fashwan-ers, Dazed & Confused and 1Xtra.  Their task is to “create original content inspired by key characteristics of the PS3″.

The content created will then be distributed via the usual suspects in the digital world - MySpace et al.

It’ll be interesting to see how (if at all) they tie this activity into the 3 Rooms experiential idea that SCE UK is pushing as part of the “This is Living” strategy.  Three Rooms allows consumers to interact with the PS3 and experience its capabilities in different environments but in an intimate setting.
