Nine Inch Nails & Apple’s Garageband

March 26th, 2007 · No Comments

Trent Reznor, of Nine Inch Nails, has signed a deal with Apple’s Garageband which is a music composition software programme that comes as part of iLife.

Garageband users can remix the track “Survivalism” as well as add their own sounds, and then distribute/share them as they like, taking the original sounds from a dedicated website.

This is part of some Apple activity to promote Garageband 3, but reminds me of the U-Myx technology that EMI and Audi have recently used, for authorised user-generated remixes.
