First airline lands in Second Life

April 13th, 2007 · No Comments

In yet another “?????” brand move into Second Life, Brazilian airline TAM is to become the first to promote itself in the virtual world by offering cyberspace flights that correspond to its real-world international service.  Which is kind of over-looking the fact that you can ‘teleport’ to anywhere on a whim in SL anyway.

TAM will offer avatars gifts to take virtual TAM flights to Second Life islands called Milan, Paris, New York and England. A TAM lounge will also be set up on the Berrini island, where avatars will be greeted by a virtual pilot and an attendant.
