MTV launches socially concious network site

MTV has recently launched a cause-concious online community with support from a strong list of celebrity sponsors and organisations, including Bono, Shakira, John Legend and Chris Rock. 

The community aims to energise young people around a number of important issues, including the environment (ed - yawn. just kidding!), sexual health and immigration.  MTV is encouraging expression through videos, podcasts and blogs, and offers rewards for socially-concious behaviours with a prize pool including meet ‘n’ greets and various grants and scholarships.
