The Famous Grouse launches comedy tour

November 9th, 2007 · No Comments

The Famous Grouse is using comedy to appeal to a younger audience, with a series of stand up gigs called The Famously Funny Comedy Tour.

The tour will take place in seven cities across the next seven months, with Jimmy Carr and Frankie Boyle announced.

Comedy is a pretty un-tapped market for brands, with only a handful getting involved in various comedy opportunities, which continues to be a surprise to me.  Like music, it offers a variety of targeting opportunities, ranging from mass appeal right through to grassroots support….and content.

So I think its a great move for a brand, especially as the next seven months perfectly fills the gap left by the summer festival period.
