Radiohead have gone and done it again, not content with turning the music industry on its head they have now given fans the opportunity to remix their latest single, Nude. The way it works is that fans download the five ’stems’ of the track; bass, drums, strings, voice and guitar from itunes, and then make their own mix of it. Finished mixes are then uploaded here and voted on by the listening public. Currently sitting pretty at the top of the charts is the ‘Holy F**k’ remix with 2591 votes. Although not particularly groundbreaking (my mind goes back to DJ Shadow asking his fans to make his next music video) the execution is brilliant. The introduction of a voting system gives a real reason to keep on going back to the site and listening. Apart from anything else it’s produced some cracking tracks.
