I have it on good authority that Guitar Hero are going to be doing some festival activity this summer with a long-term view, which is kind of good timing what with the recent launch of MTV’s Rock Band, which is also perfect festival-fodder. And in related news, Guitar Hero is launching multi-instrument support for the latest release which puts it in b*ll crunchingly-close competition with Rock Band.
Signed up for the ‘tour’ so far are the bang-on-target Reading and Leeds Festivals, and the Isle of Wight Festival.
There are SO many integrated ideas that could be exploited here it’s like a wannabe rocker’s wet dream, so the question is how much amplification will we see?
