This is a bit of an exclusive for you, and a very interesting piece of news given the increasing importance of accountability and research/insight into any marketing spend at the moment.

Contagious Magazine 2008 Round-up
December 23rd, 2008 · No Comments
For what will probably be the last post of 2008, it makes sense to give you all something from one of the bestest sources of ‘this thing of ours’, as the Mafia would say. If you aren’t already checking them, Contagious is an excellent resource for all kinds of marketing/advertising activity and frequently features [...]

Samsung Mobile Musink Tattoo & Music Festival cancelled
December 9th, 2008 · No Comments
Ok, hands up – I didn’t even know that there was such an event due to take place, but the first US Samsung Mobile Musink Music & Tattoo Festival (catch, eh!) has been cancelled due to the “current economic climate”. Which is interesting, given there is a title sponsorship deal obviously in place. My guess [...]

Red Bull Music Academy review
December 5th, 2008 · No Comments
Here’s a very interesting article looking at the latest goddamn-i-love-it Red Bull Music Academy programme that took place in Barcelona. Interesting as its not a ‘brand/marketing’ source, but picks up nicely on the subdued nature of Red Bull’s brand presence.

Beck’s Vier bars at the O2
September 17th, 2008 · No Comments
I went to see the ever-excellent Metallica at the O2 on Monday night, and since my last visit (The Spice Girls…erm….) InBev have installed some nice branded Beck’s Vier bars, which I did notice as a) they look pretty good, but also because a fairly senior person at InBev told me not so long ago [...]

Tiger Beer: Night of the Tiger events
August 28th, 2008 · No Comments
I came across this website on the Vice site promoting a Tiger Beer event, called Night of the Tiger. Looks like a fairly generic beer-sponsored music event with a free-ticket-if-you-give-us-your-details system.
Like the stereotyping going on as well with the ladyboy references…very progressive!
